Argument- Continuity and Change

Argument- Schenk provided us with the GxE equation and the idea that genes, proteins, and environmental signals constantly interact with each other. How can this relate to continuity and change? Are the species staying relatively constant or are they changing through mutations or modified genetic combinations? How can different types of environments affect traits in the same organism and provide specific examples while linking it to continuity and change.
